Shining Stars

Our Shining Star Program is a non-competitive opportunity for young girls age 4-12 to join our candidates in the spotlight and indulge in a glamorous onstage appearance during our next annual program at UCC’s Jacoby Auditorium on March 1, 2026.

Each Shining Star will be paired with a teen or miss candidate to serve as her “Honorary Big Sister” and accompany her during all program activities. This experience will provide the young ladies in your life with an inside look at the sisterhood and excitement that awaits them as a future candidate in the Miss Portland Scholarship Program.

We are early in the process of figuring out our timeline for the next program season. The dates for competition weekend are set, but everything else is subject to change. This gives you a general idea of what to expect though.
If you have any scheduling conflicts, do not let that deter you for participating. We are very flexible with busy schedules because our program is used to working with ambitious and involved young women.
